Art has been my first love since I was very young.

Drawing, constructing, doodling, cartoons, photography, graphic arts, theater. I've taught comedy, love cinema, storytelling, appreciate books with unique and clever story lines, movie and television writing, and appreciate other artists and edgy people who experiment with their expression.

Anything artistic was fair game as I grew older. It was hard to go through a day,  whether at school or at my job without bringing some artistic touch.

I’ve been drawn to and influenced by art history

(Renaissance, Impressionism, Art Deco and Nouveau).

My skills include:

Old English calligraphy, graphic arts, street art with chalk, cartoons, mixed media, comedy writing, sketching and fashion design - (this last one being my favorite adventure thus far!)

I've been involved in many charitable projects:

Bra Couture KC and "Healing Cranes" Both of these efforts align with my artistic inspiration and need to do good in the world. I help with justice issues, attend rallies, and to be a "do-gooder".

I spent several years as the Ambassador Family for the March of Dimes when my daughter was born 13 weeks premature.

I have worked in PR, gone to state and national legislative lobbying events for issues in healthcare. I've spent 17 years in maternal/fetal high risk care and neurology conditions. I've been published in many scholarly articles and journals.

My nursing career has helped me create a large network of resources and referral systems for friends, patients and family members over the years.

I am excited as I look ahead and be free to create!
